Where is Lake Duluti located?

Lake Duluti is a volcanic crater lake in the Arusha region of Tanzania, on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley. It is located in Meru District near the town of Tengeru and is 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) from Arusha city centre and 1.31 kilometres (0.81 mi) from the Arusha-Moshi road.

When will the festival begin and end?

The festival will begin on 22nd and end on 23rd July 2023 but all attendees will be expected to check in their accommodation by the evening of 21st July

Is there enough security at the major sites?

All allocated sites for the festival will be safe and secure under the guard of Tanzania police force and other few selected private security companies

Are the showers and toilets at the campsites?

Yes, the selected camping site have enough showers and toilets

How do I book my camping ticket?

You can book your camping ticket by emailing; info@mkekanakanga.com but remember to show your festival ticket as a confirmation for participation.

What happens if I lose my proof of payment?

For all online payments, our system remains with a copy and another is sent to the client, we shall use both ends for reconciliation.

Who are the main organisers of mkeka na kanga festival?

Mkeka na kanga festival is an event put together by a group of creative artists from different East African countries and is represented in Tanzania through institutions; Poa culture and Alliance Francaise- Arusha

Will there be enough eats and drinks?

They’re different local businesses and companies that will be selling drinks and eats, you will have a taste of different foods and drinks from the 7 East African countries. In Africa, there is no party without food!
